The late Capt. Arch Blandford who fell into the cellar in his home at Fleming Street, St. John's and sustained injuries which caused his death, was a som of the late Esau and Selina Blandford of Herring Neck. He was 70 years of age. In 1900 he was mate on the Clyde and later transferred to other Bay boats of the Reid Nfld. Co., lastly he commanded the Glencoe on the S.W. Coast for some years, untul about two years ago his son Max took command.
The sad feature of the passing of Capt.
