I William Reynolds of Halifax in the County of Halifax Clerk of the Check of His Majesty's Ordnance Department for the Province of Nova Scotia being mindful of my mortality do this sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twelve make & publish this may last will & testament in [manner] following first I commend my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix & Executor hereinafter named and as to such worldly Estate as it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and bequeath the same as follows that is to say to my son William King Reynolds to enable him the better to aid & assist his mother and sisters after my [demise] I give devise & bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds lawful money of the Province of Nova Scotia over and above his share and proportion of my Estate as is hereinafter ___ and ___ by ____ ____ give devise and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Mary Reynolds the whole of the residue of my real and personal Estate of whatever kind and wheresoever situated to be by her enjoyed and possessed during her natural life if she shall so long remain a widow and at here ____ I give devise and bequeath the ____ both real & personal to my dear children William King Reynolds, Mary wife of Hallet Collins [Hester] Elizabeth wife of William Jackson, Sophia wife of Robert M. Cutler, Harriet Atkins, Francis Jane, James Heaton, John George, Robert Tidmarsh, Clement Horton to have & to hold the same ___ and their heirs forever in equal proportion share & share alike but in case my said wife should again ____ marry my will and intention is that the whole of my real & personal Estate shall immediately upon such marriage ____ ___ be equally divided among my children ____ be ____ ____ ____ in equal proportion share & share alike to hold and ___ their respective shares or proportions to them and their heirs for ever and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said dear wife Mary Reynolds and my dear son William King Reynolds Executrix and Executor of this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed and set my hand and seal the day & year first above written - William Reynolds signed & sealed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will & testament in our presence who as his request in this ____ and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.
On 28th August 1813 ____ with will of William Reynolds late of Halifax in the Province of Nova Scotia Clerk of the Check in Majesty Ordnance department ___ was granted to William ____ the lawful attorney of Mary Reynolds widow the ___ and William King Reynolds the son and Executors for the ____ ____ of the said Executors residing in Halifax ____ being sworn duly to ____.
