AnecdoteIn Hant's Harbour, Trinity, Newfoundland. According to Mrs. Maude Pearce, a daughter of James Short, her father and an older brother drowned at sea. The men of Hant’s Harbour could not find the bodies on the first day and on the second day, a Dan Loder was buried. Since many people wished to pay their respects, the search was delayed. Neither body was ever recovered.
